The New York Mets will only improve when they stop being a waystation for every marginal Triple-A player or an antique veteran with fading skills. The Mets crave value, but they waste more time, energy and most importantly money, for that value. They need to improve their minor league system, and produce solid players ready to play in the big leagues. Avoid most veterans, they have tired arms and slow bats. The Atlanta Braves have the right formula. The Mets only need to copy what works.
